Your legs feel foreign, like a pair of oversized ice blocks, their weight suddenly too heavy for the rest of your body.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n A surge of ice shoots through them and flares throughout the rest of your body, making an especially notable impact as it slithers through your spine, and you know it’s not because of the onslaught of cold wind now blowing over you.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Icy blue eyes keep you paralyzed and mute for several moments, and you swear your voice just left with the last gust of wind that came your way.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n You feel your eyelids stretching themselves to the point of discomfort in an effort to accommodate the quickly-widening eyeballs within them. You\u2019re even unable to blink as you behold the tall, imposing man standing at your grandmother’s doorstep.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Doctor Frost?” you choke out before you even realize you\u2019re saying the words. You don’t even know when\u2014or \u043a\u0430\u043a<\/em>\u2014you\u2019re able to get your voice back.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Hello, Ramona,” you hear him say, his own voice deep and almost sinister.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The scowl on his face quickly gives way for a more neutral expression. He clears his throat, easily removing you from your dreamy stupor.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “You mind if I come in?” he says. It\u2019s really not a question. Not with the way it sounds coming out of his good-looking mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cS-sure,\u201d you stutter, giving way for him to enter.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n He walks \u0432\u0435\u0440\u043d\u043e <\/em>by you, and for two wonderfully torturous seconds, his body ever so slightly brushes against yours as he does. Your flesh tightens as rigid goosebumps form all over your skin, and once again, it\u2019s not the weather\u2019s doing.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n As you close the door behind us, you can feel your heart pounding in your chest like an oversized drum, and the pounding echoes wildly throughout your body, reverberating with so much force in your head, and shamelessly between your legs.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Despite the protests of your brain, his highly unexpected presence here is clearly a treat for the rest of your body\u2014especially your treacherous pussy.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n But as you turn back to face him, you have to wonder, why is he here?<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n And suddenly, it clicks.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Oh, no\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Does he have news about your visit and the endoscopy and what the issue could be? You\u2019re trying to keep your voice down but you can quickly feel your panic getting the better of you.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Excuse me?” he looks incredulous, and probably a little annoyed. His icy eyes dart down to your frantic hold on his sleeve and then back up to your own wide, pleading one.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Don’t tell her about my appointment with you,” you whisper in desperation, your eyes darting behind him every so often for any sign of Gran or anyone else who might be within earshot of your conversation.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n He shrugs his hand free of your grasp, maintaining his annoyed expression as he re-adjusts his cuff-linked sleeve.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Suddenly, you feel really embarrassed and stupid for reacting the way you did.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to grab you like that,” you say, swallowing as you try to catch your breath and keep your furious heart from pumping its way out of your chest. God, he must think you\u2019re crazy. You certainly think you\u2019re crazy right now.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n You quickly avert your eyes from his as you struggle to swallow the huge lump that seems to keep reforming in your throat. This man keeps making you unusually nervous and you really don’t know why.<\/span><\/p>\n He eyes you for a few more seconds, looking you up and down in that same assessing manner before he speaks again.<\/span><\/p>\n “I’m just here to pay my respects to your grandfather,” he says.<\/span><\/p>\n Your eyebrows immediately furrow at the statement, and your lips draw themselves into a taut frown.<\/span><\/p>\n “Wh-what?” You\u2019re confused. He obviously didn’t know your grandfather, so why has he come all this way to respect the memory of a man he didn’t know?<\/span><\/p>\n But before you can actually ask him, you spot Liam walking toward you from behind him. You don’t know why, but seeing him so suddenly while you\u2019re talking with Doctor Frost makes you jolt nervously.<\/span><\/p>\n You immediately straighten your dress and adjust your posture, as if you\u2019re a kid who just got caught doing something they’re not supposed to be doing, even though you haven’t done anything wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n You really hope the renewed anxiety you feel doesn’t show on your face, but you do your best to maintain another forged smile just in case it does.<\/span><\/p>\n As Liam closes in on us, Doctor Frost turns to face him as well, and you realize that he’s even taller than Liam is, if only by three or four inches.<\/span><\/p>\n As soon as they come eye to eye, the energy around you shifts considerably, and an angry scowl finds its way onto Doctor Frost’s face; the same scowl he had on when you first opened the door for him. He definitely looks unamused.<\/span><\/p>\n Liam’s expression quickly matches his own, and they continue to scowl at and stare each other down for a little too long for your liking.<\/span><\/p>\n Your eyes dart back and forth between the two men, and their silence but very obvious tension is making you feel super awkward right now.<\/span><\/p>\n You clear your throat in an effort to break the ice, and thank goodness it works\u2014or at least, it does in part.<\/span><\/p>\n Doctor Frost remains stoic, but Liam breaks his stare and his attention turns to you. His frown immediately turns into a cheery smile, all packaged with a few flashes of his pearly whites.<\/span><\/p>\n He moves past Doctor Frost, visibly bumping his shoulder against his, and you have the distinct feeling he did that on purpose.<\/span><\/p>\n You\u2019re not sure what the hell is going on. These two obviously know each other, and from the little silent showdown they just had, there’s clearly some bad blood between them.<\/span><\/p>\n Liam bends down and gives you a peck on your cheek\u2014another gesture that you\u2019re not in the least bit prepared for.<\/span><\/p>\n “See you around, Ramona,” he says with a smile.<\/span><\/p>\n “Bye, Liam,” is all you can manage at the moment, especially when you can feel Doctor Frost’s intense eyes on us.<\/span><\/p>\n Liam turns and gives Doctor Frost another hard look before disappearing into the corridor.
